Below is a list of restrictions and limitations that apply to garage sales in the Kogarah Council area. What you can see is pretty much a copy and paste of the information that was provided to me by the Kogarah Council. I suggest you use this information as a rough guide only and double check to be sure.
As far as I am aware Council do not have restrictions or guidelines on the holding a garage sales within a property. If a resident was to host a garage sale all items at all times of the day must be kept strictly within their property boundary, or they may be approached by a Council Ranger and directed to move items off the Council kerb.
They do not need to register with Council about holding an event.
