Campbelltown Council permits residential properties to conduct up to a maximum of 4 garage sales per year without the need for a permit, providing the sales are conducted in a manner that does not unduly interfere with neighbourhood amenity. Council enforces a zero tolerance policy in relation to the display of garage sale signage on public roads and infrastructure (for reasons of road safety and local amenity) and encourages garage sale holders to utilise the local media and appropriate websites to promote sale events.
