Generally if for private purposes only residents may conduct what is known as a garage sale from their property.
Goods must not be placed on the road or footpath and signs / posters are not permitted other than on the subject property.
Make sure that impacts on your neighbours and the community are minimised by ensuring that the sale takes place during reasonable daylight hours and that no traffic or noise complaints occur.
