The terms and conditions for this site were established in January 2011 and last updated in November 2017. By entering this site, you agree to and declare that you understand below conditions.
The purpose of this site is to bring garage sales in Sydney and regional NSW to a wider audience by allowing organizers to post and advertise their garage sales on this site and prospective buyers to search for and find garage sales.
I cannot guarantee that this site will be up all the time. However, so far, my hosting providers have done an excellent job keeping it running. I cannot guarantee that I will not take this site down at some time in the future for any reason.
I cannot guarantee that I will never lose any of your data. However, I am not keeping any of your personal information and use best data management practices to keep this from happening.
Currently this site is free. In general, I will refund the fees for your ads if there is a real problem. Obviously, I will not refund the fees if you do not sell your items or you sell them before having the garage sales.
I cannot guarantee that anyone will see your ads. However, I try very hard to make this site as visible as possible.
I cannot guarantee that you will sell your items and will not give any refunds if that is the case.
For the time being listing a garage sale is free. In future, I will charge a small, once-off fee for a life-time membership. I reserve myself the right to change the pricing at any time. Future payments will be handled by PayPal.
By entering this site, you agree not to hold my providers or myself responsible for any damages or losses that might occur from using this site and/or its services.
The rules listed on this website are only a guide. I cannot guarantee that they are up-to-date and correct. It is your own responsibility to make sure that you are adhering to all the rules of your council. Currently, the rules listed are still based on the 152, pre-amalgamation councils. Most amalgamated councils are still trying to cope with the changes and I don't think that they had the chance to worry about garage sales yet. Thanks very much Mr Baird!
I cannot completely stop you from entering the same garage sale twice. Generally, duplicate entries should not be a problem. If you have accidentally created two ads for your garage sale and cannot delete the duplicate yourself, please send me an email and I will remove the duplicate for you.
I reserve myself the right to, without notice, post your ads on other classifieds websites, directories or databases. This should not be a problem as it only helps your purpose, making your ads seen by as many people as possible.
False advertising is not permitted on this site and I cannot take responsibility for it. Advertisers must be able to sell the items that they are advertising at the price they are advertising. If you find anyone placing false ads, please send me an email and I will do something about it.
I cannot guarantee that the information in the ads is correct. It is the responsibility of the buyers to confirm the item's specifications with the sellers.
I reserve myself the right to change these conditions at any time. However, if I should ever need to do this, I'll try my best to cause as little inconvenience to my users as possible
If you have any questions please email me
