Below is a list of restrictions and limitations that apply to garage sales in the Sydney Council area. What you can see is pretty much a copy and paste of the information that was provided to me by the Sydney Council. I suggest you use this information as a rough guide only and double check to be sure.
Garage sales are only permitted if they are held completely on private property. Council does not have restrictions in regards to times and days they are to be held.
Permission is not given by Council for these to be held on the footpath, nature strip, driveway and laneway
