Moree Plains Shire Council is encouraging residents and not-for-profit groups to hold their own garage sales, prior to the kerbside bulk waste collection service. It is offering to advertise your garage sale free in the Moree Champion and on the Council's Facebook page. Please contact the Council's Customer Service Centre to find out the details of the next event.

How many times a year can a garage sale be held? Twice March/August
Is it allowed to place signs in public places if they are removed immediately after the sale? Yes
Are there any limitations on the time of day or day of week? Weekend before bulk waste cleanup
Does it require a permit or registration? No
